Move Forward Without Losing Track of the Details
Your numbers, call routes and existing account information all matter during a change of service. Getting them organized early helps prevent avoidable delays and makes the transition easier to follow.
Keep Your Current Numbers!
In 99.9% of cases you’ll get to keep any numbers you currently use, but ultimately it depends on whether your current carrier cooperates. We’ll take care of the entire process for you and confirm whether or not you’ll be able to keep your number before you sign!
Rebuild the Calls That Matter
Document greetings, extensions, menus and forwarding rules before leaving the old setup. That gives the new system a practical starting point and helps identify overlooked destinations, shared lines or department routines that need attention.
Give Your Team a Clear Transition
Plan when staff receive devices or app access, what they should test and who handles questions. Agree the launch sequence and fallback arrangements so employees aren’t left guessing how to answer on the new service.
OUR NUMBER MIGRATION PROCESS
What is Involved in a Number Migration?
Moving your phone service involves getting the new system ready, preparing your team and arranging the transfer of any eligible numbers you want to keep. That number transfer is called porting. We’ll help you work through the move in a sensible order, so you know what needs attention before the change happens.
Here are some of the questions we can help you work through:
- Want to keep your published number? Check whether it can transfer and gather the account details needed to request the move.
- Your current call setup works well? Bring useful greetings, extension plans and routing choices into the new system rather than starting from scratch.
- Have fax, alarm or other special lines? Review those connections separately before changing service, so their requirements are included in the plan.
- Wondering when to cancel the old service? Keep it active until the transfer is confirmed, then check any remaining cancellation requirements.
You’ll have guidance through the preparation, handover and checks after activation. We’ll help you understand the agreed timing and next steps, including testing that customers can reach your numbers and your team can make outgoing calls.
